To people who keep saying that gay relationships don’t deserve the same rights
This is true. What about the couple’s who can’t have kids, don’t want to have kids, or shouldn’t have kids? * Britney Spears… cough* Having kids for a marriage is, as I know, a Catholic teaching. That’s what I learned at my Catholic school. You HAVE to be able to have kids to get married in the Catholic Church. Well, gay people can’t get married in the Catholic Church anyways. It’s against their teachings and a private institution. BUT, they should be able to have a civil marriage, which is what they’re asking for. A civil marriage does not require a fertility test, and why should it? People against gay marriage are full of bullshit if you ask me…… and treatment as straight relationships because gays can’t reproduce or “flourish the human race”, you’re fucking retarded!
So according to your logic, people who don’t want or can’t have kids, or too old to have kids should all have their relationships & marriages declared null and void because they are not contributing to the “survival” of the species? Do they not deserve spousal benefits?
Besides, I think the human race’s current, real threat of extinction involves overpopulation and rapid depletion of natural resources, not the (rather modest) percentage of couples who don’t breed.
Maybe you should do our species a favor and don’t have kids, so you won’t pass on your ignorant bigotry and keep on polluting our species and keeping the human race from moving forward!
